There are hundreds of linux apps, but not many good ones. I love linux, but you have to be really stupid to think that Kino, the GIMP, and KompoZer can be used over Sony Vegas, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver in a professional commercial environment.

The thing is, it's not funny when people say something like that, because it's not what they mean, and you know that. The "official" definition may claim that that's what it means, but it's changing. Few words remain stagnant in their definitions over time, I'm sick of people being assholes about it when people don't use words in their perfect place... if everyone was always like that, our language would be radically different. Words are only meant to convey ideas, as long they successfully convey their idea to you, it doesn't matter whether or not the words they used perfectly match up to their idea.
