You do realise that a prius does more damage than a land rover discovery right? Those lithium batteries cause massive environmental damage. That lithium ore is mined in canada where it is shipped by train to a port then it is shipped accross the Atlantic to Europe where it is refined into lithium, which is then shipped over to Japan where upon it is turned into lithium batteries which are transported to the factory to go into a prius which is then shipped accross the pacific to america.
Dugg for ragging on The Happening
That kind of brings up the question. If you had to cast this, who would you get to play what parts? canadian home educators
I hate to be the one to say it but people get way to emotional over animals. Just like human lives, you take it for all it's worth while you can knowing that it one day must end. With that being said children take these things harder because they likely haven't experienced losing something they love forever, but most kids with pets, like I did, have a dog/cat/whatever die during childhood and they still end up ok. I feel sorry for you kid but it'll be ok.
Electric cars do not use the same amount of energy, they are much more efficient. The Tesla claims to get 256 mpg equivalent due to regenerative braking as well as electric motors just being more efficient than gas. If you look at the energy content of all of the batteries in the Tesla, its just under that of one gallon of gas (thats why its range is about 220 miles). In the future, if nuclear makes a come back, solar becomes cheaper, batteries become better and our electrical infrastructure is improved, it will truly be a much cleaner and more efficient system than we have today.
A cheeseburger is no different from any other food item. You could have done it on tic tacs, which are minute, and the carbon footprint would be just as big. So that begs the question, who gives a *****?
Oh man, Sub-Zero from MK3 sucked! thank you Midway for UMK3.
