Seriously, I remember Kevin talking about this like it was just a few weeks ago.
Not even close. His directing of fight scenes (or any other fast action type scene) is mediocre at best. He had marked improvement between Batman Begins to The Dark Knight, but it was still poorly done when things happened fast. And beyond that, while both movies were good there was no wow-ing techniques done, but rather he kept the atmosphere in line with what fans wanted from Batman. The movies themselves were somewhat rough on the pacing at points and potentially a little bloated (at least that's my opinion). I greatly enjoyed both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, but there have been plenty of far better movies from a purely cinematic standpoint in the last year even.
