Would it be more efficient overall? You would essentially be paying a double energy 'tax': Once at the power plant to convert that coal/gas to electricity, and then again to turn the electricity into kinetic energy to move your car, whereas with gas engines you turn that gasoline directly into kinetic energy.
I love my Element.
@ Qumahalin Asteroids generally don't travel between stars. I'm not even sure there are ANY asteroids that travel between stars. Considering Earth is the only inhabitable planet in our solar system (possible ancient Mars but unlikely), There would be an extremely improbable occurrence that an asteroid cluster containing micro organisms would fan out and strike numerous inhabitable planets across many solar systems spanning millions of light years, at least without some kind of intelligent intervention. artschool palestine
Shoot...If I got 20 cents on every dollar of food americans buy...I would be hella rich. And that doesn't count the subsidies and government lobbyists getting them tons of cash on top of it.
