I agree that there are many problems. Take out the floating aspect and just have the gym run on people power is a much better idea. I don't know how much power the average gym could produce at any given time, but if it is more than what is needed to run the gym itself they could perhaps outsource the excess power for uses around the city.

Like directededition said, the people who know about these conspiracy theories (assuming they actually happened) have NOT been keeping quiet. People who would be in positions to know about these things DO speak out, but they are usually just assumed to be crazy. So, you cant use the argument: "They cant be true because how would so many people stay quiet?" because people are not quiet about it.
